Answered the call. Built mygroktube with the new Grok app builder, plus a bit of Grok CLI help: my Grok-powered X video browser for people I follow — without the usual recommendation bias other platforms throw at me. https://mygroktube.grok.me/the-one
Not certain yet it is actually viable long-term, the API costs are going to be intense, but serves my purpose right now.
Really fun to build and brutally fast to ship. I hope you don't mind a few improvement requests to more easily make a multi-integration app work:
1) Credential / secrets manager across sandbox & prod. Once real API tokens enter the picture that cost you money per call, the current approach feels unsafe / clunky.
2) Grok's explicit environment awareness. Grok built a workspace-folder thumbnail and other PGLite pipelines that simply didn't exist the same way in prod, forcing rework.
3) CLI needs a copy button at the bottom of a response, please (grok web and grok CLI talking to one another easily would be a strong alternative)
4) Will Grok 4.6 get better at searching X? Honestly feel that Grok searching X for valuable content is really hard right now. I want that to be amazing. Will fiddle more with that the coming days.
5) Integration status / awareness dashboard. ~80 % of the real effort was the integrations. If Grok tracked and surfaced their health and key to-dos, outcomes would likely improve quicker (in the sense of what you measure improves). Attached the view I ended up having grok do for my case to check in on where my integrations needed work. Would you believe that integrating X-APIs and X-OAuth was the hardest thing to get right via Grok build?
